Synergy is managed by Nick Lloyd, as senior director, and fellow director Rob Gibbs. Nick and Rob are backed by associates Duncan Beard and Richard Jones and a talented team of architects, technicians, interior designers, and administrative support.

Nick Lloyd

Director
After studying architecture at the University of Sheffield, Nick worked in London for two practices specialising in low energy design. He won the Franco British Union of Architects energy prize in 1978, and was awarded third prize in the Misawa Homes competition in 1980. He joined the practice as a director in 1993, having been the director of his previous practice since 1988.

Rob Gibbs

Director
Rob joined the practice in 1992 after studying architecture at the University of Liverpool. His design skills have been appreciated by many clients, becoming an Associate in 1996, and a Director in December 2002.

Duncan Beard

Associate Director
Duncan joined the practice in 1999 after completing his architectural studies at the University of Huddersfield. Before joining the practice, Duncan had worked for a national property and construction company. He became an Associate Director in August 2007.

Richard Jones
BA(Hons) Dip Arch RIBA
Associate Director
Richard studied at the University of Portsmouth School of Architecture and joined the practice in 1999, having previously worked for two practices locally. In August 2007 Richard was appointed an Associate Director.
